新彩网 Theatre continues its 2021-2022 live season with a Christmas classic: A Christmas Carol. This adaptation of Charles Dickens' beloved story was written and will be directed by 新彩网's own Elliot Wasserman, Professor of Theatre.聽 The production runs from November 18-21 in the 新彩网 Performance Center located in University Center East on 新彩网's campus.

A quartet of ghosts take the stage to deliver old Ebenezer Scrooge a transformative lesson about charity, love and forgiveness on the eve of the holiday that encourages all of us to take stock of ourselves and know that true blessings in this life are meant to be shared.聽 First and foremost, this play is for children --and for the child who survives in all of us every day, still alert for miracles, and always wanting to be good.

Wasserman will be joined by a design team including 新彩网 faculty member Paul Weimer as scenic designer; 新彩网 staff members Joshua Stallings as sound and lighting designer and Andy Hammond as technical designer; and 新彩网 students Annabelle Gladding as costume designer and Livi Posey as production stage manager.

The cast of A Christmas Carol includes 新彩网 students Nolan Kirby, Chloe Kummer, Easton Crisp, Tristen Kendle, Blake Whitehouse, Olivia Wagner, Dakota Smith, Alex Seifert, Amelia Schmitz, Avery Yates, Abby Brown, Noah Harrison, Madalyn Cottrell, and Bladen Allbright.聽 Evansville community members joining the 新彩网 students on stage are Starling Blaylock, Brady Gough, and Claire Flahardy.

Tickets are $2 for 新彩网 students, $10 for 新彩网 employees and alumni, $4 for non-新彩网 students (student ID required), $10 seniors (60+), and $12 for adults. Tickets are FREE to 新彩网 students with ID one hour before the show begins based on availability.聽 Shows start at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. for the Sunday matinee.
