Scholarships are available through 新彩网 to help fund study abroad programs. Additional scholarships are offered through other local, regional, national and international organizations, as well as through various study abroad organizations.
Center for International Programs Scholarships
新彩网 Study Abroad Ambassador Scholarship听
- $2,000 for academic year
- $1,500 for one semester
- Up to $1,000听for summer and short-term programs (which award 新彩网 credit)
Eligibility
- Open to all 新彩网 students who have been accepted in a 新彩网 study abroad program and will receive 新彩网 credit during the program.
- Recipients must enroll in 新彩网 during the fall or spring semester following their study abroad program and complete the study abroad ambassador projects outlined in their application within 6 months.
Global Engagement Scholarship听
- Up to $3,000 for the duration of the program
Eligibility
- Open to all 新彩网 students who have been accepted in a 新彩网 study abroad program and will receive 新彩网 credit during the program.
- Ability to engage in a Global Engagement project during the term abroad; projects will be judged on feasibility and relevance, as well as other factors.
- Recipients must enroll in 新彩网 during the fall or spring semester following their study abroad program and complete the requirements for the Global Engagement project within 6 months.
新彩网 Study Abroad Diversity Scholarship
The 新彩网 Study Abroad Diversity Scholarship provides awards for students of diverse backgrounds and identities. This scholarship is intended to:
- motivate underrepresented students to go abroad by easing the financial barrier
- increase representation of diverse viewpoints on study abroad programs
For the purpose of this scholarship, diversity may include (but is not limited to) culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, parental status (if you have children), military status, ethnic or racial identities that contribute to the diversity of the student body. This scholarship is not need or merit based, and awards are granted on the strength of a student鈥檚 essays and interview.

- Scholarship recipients must be in good academic standing听
- Students from all majors and class standing who will study for a short-term, semester, or year-long program are encouraged to apply

Exchange Program Scholarships听
- $500 for the duration of the program

- Open to all 新彩网 students who will receive 新彩网 credit for studies at one of听新彩网's partner institutions.
- Applicable to 新彩网 direct exchange partners only, not ISEP exchange.听
新彩网 Foundation Scholarships
- Amy MacDonell and Randall Shepard Study Abroad Endowment - Full-time 新彩网 students enrolled in an undergraduate program can be considered. Preference shall be given to students with need (completed FAFSA). Must have 3.0 or higher GPA.听
- Elizabeth Zutt Art Enrichment Scholarship - For art-related international travel for art majors.
- Altha Warren Plane Harlaxton Study Abroad Scholarship Endowment - One $600 scholarship per year. For sophomores or junior students who study abroad for one semester at Harlaxton College. GPA 3.2 or higher with demonstrated financial need.听听
- Dr. Jeanne K. Barnett Scholarship - One $1,000 scholarship per year. Must be a U.S. citizen and full time student in good academic standing and maintain a 3.0 GPA when the scholarship is awarded and received. Must be a sophomore or junior status when considered for this scholarship. Must be studying abroad for at least one semester.听
- Patricia L. Aakhus International Studies Travel Scholarship - One $1,200 scholarship per year for students majoring in Global Studies.听
- Michael K. Aakhus College of Liberal Arts International Travel Endowment - One $1,100 scholarship per year. Must be a full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate program in the College of Liberal Arts. Preference given to students with financial need. Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
New Lanark Internship Scholarship
- Most expenses, up to $6,000
- Summer only
- Location: New Lanark, Scotland

Eligibility
- Open to full time degree-seeking students in all majors. Additional requirements will depend on specific internship opportunities.
- Preference will be given to juniors and seniors, and to applicants who have not received 新彩网 study abroad scholarships in the past.
CIEE Frederick Douglass - Daniel O'Connell Internship President's Match
Students who apply for the听 but are not selected and instead are given CIEE's $1,500 Frederick Douglass - Daniel O'Connell Grant will also receive a of $1,500 from 新彩网 to be used toward a CIEE ! Available for up to 16 新彩网 students. The deadline to apply for the fellowship is February 1.

听- CEA offers all 新彩网 students an automatic travel grant of $2,000 for the academic year, $1,000 for one semester, or $500 for summer. 新彩网 students are not eligible for any additional CEA Vouchers or Grants, however, students will be eligible to apply for CEA scholarships.
听- Multiple need-based and merit-based scholarships. CIEE also has the which is a fully-funded summer leadership program in Dublin, Ireland. Applicants who are not selected will receive the Frederick Douglass Grant of $1,500.
