Members of the Academic Planning Council include the provost, the vice president and the associate vice president for Finance and Administration,Ìýthe vice president for Student Affairs, the vice president for Marketing and Communications, the associate provostÌýfor Academic Affairs, the executive director for Enrollment, the executive director for Outreach and Engagement,Ìý the executive director for International Programs and Services, the assistant vice president for Academic Success, the academic deans, the chief data officer for Planning, Research, andÌýAssessment, the executive director of Online Learning, the director of Library Services, the director of Graduate Studies,Ìýthe Registrar, the director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, the director of University Core Curriculum, the assistant director of the Veteran, Military and Family Resource Center, the chair of the New Program Development Committee, the chair of Faculty Senate, the chair of the Curriculum Committee, and the dean of students.

The major function of the Academic Planning Council is to recommend to the president of the University the feasibility of initiating new majors, minors, or programs, and to annually review the Higher Education Services plans and programs.
