Student Wellness Programs - Fall 2024

August/September:

8/29: Self-care station (11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in UC Breezeway) - Stop by our table outside the UC to learn about the many wellness resources that exist on campus and pick up free wellness giveaways!

9/12: Be Rested Workshop #1 - Improve your snooze (4:00-4:30 p.m. in UC 2217) - Learn sleep hygiene practices to improve sleep quality. This is the first session in a 2-part series! Attend both sessions and be entered in a drawing for a weighted blanket!聽

9/16: HIV Testing - CANCELED

9/17: Be Rested Workshop #2 - Breathe & Relax (4:00-4:30 p.m. in RFW Quiet Lounge) - Learn breathing and stretching exercises to relax and fall asleep faster. This is the second session in a 2-part series! Attend both sessions and be entered in a drawing for a weighted blanket! Co-sponsored by University Health Center.

9/25: 新彩网 Wellness Fair (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in Carter Hall) - The annual 新彩网 Wellness Fair for students and employees offers an opportunity to learn about different resources available at 新彩网 and in the community to support your overall health and wellness. FREE giveaways, screenings, food, and more!聽

October:

10/1: "It Ends with Us" Film Discussion (12-1 p.m. in UC 2207): Based on the book by Colleen Hoover, the flim 鈥淚t Ends With Us鈥 powerfully highlights the pattern of domestic violence and the complexities of breaking it. Join us for a discussion with Albion Fellows Bacon Center about the topics addressed in the film, and how you can promote healthy relationships in your own life.聽

10/15: Cover the Cruiser (3-5 p.m. Parking Lot N / Liberal Arts Center): In recognition of domestic violence awareness month, cover a police cruiser with the qualities of healthy relationships! Co-sponsored by 新彩网 Public Safety.聽

10/15: Flowers on the Lake (4:30-5:00 p.m. in front of Liberal Arts Center). Join us to learn how you can recognize signs of relationship abuse, and pledge to be part of the solution. The event will conclude with a silent walk to Reflection Lake, and a ceremony to honor victims and survivors of domestic violence.

10/21: HIV Testing (12-3 p.m. in UC 2217) - Take care of your health and know your status! Free and confidential HIV testing is offered in partnership with AIDS Resource Group Evansville. No appointments, just drop-in.聽

10/29: De-Stress Fest (3:00-4:30 p.m. in UC Fireside Lounge): Come unwind with pumpkin painting, coloring, hot chocolate, and free stress management resources!聽

10/30: Alcohol Trivia Table (11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. UC West Desk): Learn how you can prevent a health scare - test your knowledge about blood alcohol content, alcohol poisoning prevention and more! Free giveaways and prizes will be available.聽
