Moffett to release new book

Rosalie Moffett, Assistant Professor of English, will release a new book of poetry, Making A Living, in 2024 from publisher Milkweed Editions.聽

In this book, Moffett's poems consider the nature of hope, what can be revered, motherhood and the limits and possibilities of the human. The collection asks how to think about the future in the context of capitalism, consumerism, Crazy Bob's Cajun Chicken, mass shootings, the tentacular Amazon fulfillment center, Scrooge McDuck and Lucky Charms.聽

Poems from the collection have recently appeared in recent literary journals as well, including:

American Poetry Review: 鈥淭he Pea Shoots with their Thin Tendrils鈥 and 鈥淭his Landscape鈥 (2023)

West Branch: 鈥淗appy,鈥 鈥淚nsinkerator Supreme鈥 and 鈥淭ime & Place鈥 (nominated for a 2022 Pushcart Prize)
